The True Meaning of Love

A lion waits in his den for the heat of the day to dissipate.
Then goes at dusk to go where he has wanted to go
all day: to the river to drink water from water, to look
at the way the land and the sky divide and fit together
perfectly. He decides to not bring down the lame wildebeest,
not because he is not hungry, but because he feels generous
and hopeful.
