There Were Two Birds Sat on a Stone

There were two birds sat on a stone,
Fal la - La la—lardee.
One flew away, and then there was one,
Fal la - La la—lardee.
The other flew after, and then there was none,
Fal la - La la—lardee.
And so the poor stone was left all alone,
Fal la - La la—lardee.

One of the birds then back again flew,
Fal la - La la—lardee.
Till there came after, and then there were two,
Fal la - La la—lardee.
Says one t’other, how do you do?
Fal la - La la—lardee.
Very well, thank you, and how are you?
Fal la - La la—lardee.
