What Is Now Seen Was Once Only Imagined

I’m playing the role of Minerva said the old woman
teaching the young manners morals and math
in cities I like a mix of order and chaos
in the country it is mostly a matter of planting trees

I once overturned the economies of Europe
they were mad about me
they couldn’t get enough of me then suddenly
the bubble burst and I was out the door said the tulip

Revolution said the dog we must rise up
a bas the oppressors and their language
fuck their math and physics fuck their poetry
this earth is our earth we were here first
