What to Keep, What to Discard

Be not absurd; dream has its delicate logic.
Reason superb is in dream; if you cannot read it
Remember the scrolls of the sages locked in difficult
         language.

Be not absurd; dream is a hidden process,
Means to growth; your own. Something so fluid
That it waters the candid mind with living at the root.

You who regret the bleak and empty waste,
The past; neglected, deranged, the fate of events,
Reflect on eternal surges: Sea, sun-power, sleep.
