Folly

This folly strikes me ill;
It illy becomes my pride.
But I find myself folly following
Thrusting the ugly will
And the arguing mind aside.

So, after a dull delay
And a long, long family parley
With the will, the mind, and the pride,
Folly takes me away,
Folly will, or at least, folly may
Despoil me and betray —
Still I choose
Folly.
