Avalon

Suffer Spirit to tread your bloodstream
As Uther bridges the dragon’s breath
To beget a king. Ride her slipstream
Through vault and cavern that drip death,
Where herds run before lion pride
And leopards stalk the doe’s proud grace.
See and know as a native guide
Each track of beast and scented trace
Along Soul’s peregrine passage.
Rainbow bones and neural flame
Of Empyrean parentage
Draw visceral lore to august name
That mansioned star, this perilous lair
Where her dragon glamors doom,
Where ring swords that warriors pair
Through laurel bowered golden gloom.
