The Adoration of the Bees

Buffeted by blustery breezes,
bees adjust to their new home
beside growing tomatoes,
between sunlight and moonlight,
they retreat to their wood castle keep
with transparent frames they fill
to satisfy their busy queen,
then sleep.

Spreading her protective cloak, evening
gives shelter to her garden,
beside old freshly painted walls,
between sunset and sunrise,
stars pulse on their black velvet altar
above workaholic bees
who offer adoration to
their queen.
