Dauntless Dibble was the bravest
of the bravest of the brave,
Dimble climbed the highest mountain,
he explored the deepest cave,
Dimble fought the fiercest creatures,
but he never met his match,
Dimble often wrestled tigers
and escaped without a scratch.

Not a challenge went unanswered,
he accepted every dare,
Dimble walked on blazing embers
and was none the worse for wear,
Dimble exited an airplane
high above a rocky butte,
he escaped with minor bruises
though he wore no parachute.

Dimble diving in the ocean
was beset by hungry sharks,
yet the only wounds he suffered
were some superficial marks,
once a polar bear attacked him
on the icy arctic floes,
the result of that adventure
was a slightly bloody nose.

Dimble danced with deadly cobras,
Dimble toyed with killer bees,
Dimble dangled by one finger
from a tiny greased trapeze,
but he rose from sleep one morning,
and while getting out of bed,
Dibble tripped upon the carpet,
where he cracked his dauntless head.
