Bio
Nancy Cherry is a Northern California poet. She received her M.A. in
Creative Writing from California State University in Sacramento, and her
B.A. from San Francisco State University. She was co-editor/publisher of
the Bay Area Poetry Newsletter, Fish Dance, with Greg Darms from 1995-
2000. Her work has appeared in various reviews, including Seattle Review,
convolvulus, Gryroscope, Spillway, Poetry Flash, Mid-American Review,
Parting Gifts, Nimrod, Runes, Comstock, Calyx, Cream City and the anthology,
The Place That Inhabits Us. Her chapbook publications include: Dish Night at the
Rafael Theater, Plain Truth, The Field, Deposition, and Gardening in the Deep
End. Her first collection, El Verano Burning, was published by Radiolarian Press
in June 2014. She currently lives in her mother’s hometown of San Rafael, CA
with Lily the cat and has really good friends.
